Lauren Gillett is a Compensation Consultant with Astron Solutions. With over 30 years as an HR professional, Lauren has broad-based experience in all aspects of HR including Talent Acquisition, Talent Management, Total Rewards (Benefits/Compensation), Health/Wellness and Safety, Employee Relations, Organizational Design, and Learning/Development. As a trusted Business Partner, she has worked closely with all levels of an organization, including change management initiatives for multiple merger/acquisition/integration activities with several organizations. Lauren’s diversified experience has focused on leadership/strategic roles as well as her “hands on” approach to the tactical/operational aspects of her positions within organizations of varying sizes and industries.
Prior to Astron Solutions, Lauren was VP, Director of Human Resources for a growth-oriented, employee-owned national insurance/risk advisor/financial services firm. She also has served in HR leadership roles for a medium size national employee-owned professional services firm focused on engineering, environmental services, land planning and surveying/construction services firm, as well as a large global corporate relocation/real estate/travel organization.
Throughout her career, Lauren has been committed to volunteerism and serving on a variety of boards and working with non-profits such as The American Heart Association, Dutchess County SPCA, and the Executive Committee of the Dutchess County Chamber of Commerce. Additionally, Lauren continues to serve as a career mentor for Colgate University. She also is an active volunteer member of the Compensation & Benefits Committee for the Hudson Valley Credit Union.
Lauren graduated cum laude with a BA in Sociology from Colgate University and received her Master’s in HR/Industrial Labor Relations through a joint program with Cornell University School of Industrial Labor Relations and Baruch College School of Business. She is also a licensed Life/Health insurance professional. She has received recognition for her professional accomplishments and has been awarded a 40 Under 40 (Dutchess County, NY), Athena International, and Hudson Valley Women in Business. She is a local and national SHRM member and actively participates in industry specific HR organizations.
